In the time since we recorded this episode media coverage of both the event/aftermath and Mr. Robertson’s insane ramblings has picked up in both saturation and intensity, restoring some of my faith in TV news. Some. Keith Olbermann should be commended for taking Robertson & Limbaugh to task. Also, the dead and missing numbers have sharply dropped from earlier estimates, a fact that gives us renewed hope for the relief and recovery effort.

Airport security, equality politics, and the art of politics for their own sake from a still slightly anesthetized host. We’re a day late and half asleep - but still going.

Episode 8

As of today, the earlier episodes of the podcast are going to fade away into the sunset. That’s right kids, 0-6 are going into the vault. I’m not disowning them or anything, but starting from 7 and the material we’ve recorded since gives new listeners a better sense of what we’re about and what to expect, so why confuse things? I know, I know - some of you loved the earlier stuff. My thought is that it’s still early stuff, even starting from episode seven, since we still don’t know what the hell we’re doing anyway.

In episode seven we drop the scripting and shift formats, moving closer to what I’d envisioned for this thing we call a podcast.

Today I’ll be touching on terrorism over the holidays, birthers with guns, how smoking a vulture’s brain can help you win the lottery, and having serious anxiety over mobile phone privacy. All on no sleep and the sheer power of coffee and cigarettes.
